What is the NDIS and who does it help?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides eligible Australians with funding for supports and services that help them achieve their goals—whether that’s building daily living skills, accessing the community, or making home modifications.

How do I apply for the NDIS?

You begin by submitting an access request to the NDIA with proof of your identity, residency and disability. Once your eligibility is confirmed, you’ll attend a planning meeting to co-design your individual support plan.

What supports can I include in my plan?

Your plan can include a wide range of supports grouped into three categories: Core (daily living and community access), Capacity Building (skill development, therapy, coordination) and Capital (equipment or home modifications).

Can I change my NDIS plan if my circumstances change?

Yes. You can request an early plan review at any time if your support needs shift—due to health changes, new goals or unexpected life events. Regular annual reviews also ensure your plan stays up to date.

What is the difference between a Plan Manager and Support Coordinator?

A Plan Manager oversees your NDIS budget, pays invoices and provides spending reports. A Support Coordinator helps you navigate your plan, connect with providers and advocate for services that meet your goals.
